About Our Company

Kat’s Grain Inc. is a grain dealership located in Washington, Iowa. The company was founded in September 2002 by Katy Greiner. Katy, president, was raised on the farm and has been married to the farmer of her life, Dan, for 43 years. Katy gained experience in the grain industry by working for a grain dealer and marketing their personal grain.  Dan and Katy have been married since 1978 and have 3 children:  Amy, John and Mitch.  They have 7 grandchildren and reside/farm SW of Washington.



John Greiner, Dan & Katy’s son, joined Kat’s Grain in October 2007.  John graduated from Coe College in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. John joined Archer Daniels Midland in May 2006 and worked for ADM Grain Company in Evansville, IN, Winona, MN, and with ADM Oilseed Processing in Mankato, MN.  In 2009, John became a Commidites Broker with ADM Investor Services.  In 2010, John founded Greiner Ag Marketing, LLC.  Under (G.A.M) John handles 100% of the grain marketing decisions for numerous individual producers and corporations/LLC's.  In 2015, John became a Crop Insurance Agent.  We are currently servicing Great American Crop Insurance products & LRP.  John and his wife, Jenna, have been married since 2013 and have 4 children:  Laken, Lennox, Layni and Liv.  They reside SW of Washington, IA.

Raelynn Dean joined Kat's Grain in August 2017. She grew up west of Wyman on the Huff family farm.  Raelynn graduated from Winfield in 2005 and then went on to Coe College in Cedar Rapids.  She graduated in 2009 with degrees in Accounting and Business Administration.  Following graduation, she worked for CPA firm Bergan KDV in Cedar Rapids, then moved to Burlington to work for Burlington Trailways as CFO.  Raelynn married Justin in 2011 and they lived in Burlington until 2017 before building a home and moving back to the countryside of Wyman.  In 2018, Raelynn became a Commodities Broker with ADM Investor Services. 

Brittany Redlinger joined the Kat’s Grain team in February of 2021. She grew up on a row crop, cattle and hog farm north of Ainsworth. She was actively involved in agriculture, working on the farm and involved in 4-H, showing cattle and pigs. She graduated from Highland in 2011 and went on to attend Kirkwood for 2 years and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from AIB in Des Moines. Brittany worked for Hills Bank for 4 years as a Personal Banker and then became Assistant Branch Manager of the Washington branch. In 2023, Brittany obtained her Crop Ins license. Brittany and her husband, Rob, live SE of Washington with their son, Bo. They enjoy raising their small herd of goats, Bo especially.   

Kat’s Grain is not a typical grain dealership. We have no grain storage. Our mission is to provide the best grain prices, assist you with marketing/risk management, and offer Crop Insurance/LRP options and advice.  Also assist with freight/trucking options.  Call us to find out premiums for non gmo corn or soybeans!
