DTN Closing Livestock Comment 05/05 15:38
Traders Helped Keep Livestock Contracts Higher Through Tuesday's Close

Traders helped push the contracts higher through Tuesday's close as the
greater equity markets were stronger today too.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Although it was mostly a quiet day, the livestock complex did close higher
Tuesday afternoon. Still no cash cattle trade has developed and both bids and
asking prices remain elusive at this point. July corn is down 5 3/4 cents per
bushel and July soybean meal is down $0.50. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is
up 356.35 points and the NASDAQ is up 258.33 points.
