DTN Closing Livestock Comment 03/28 15:49
Heading into Easter Weekend the Livestock Contracts Closed Higher

Ahead of the short week's end, the livestock contracts all closed higher.

ShayLe Stewart
DTN Livestock Analyst

GENERAL COMMENTS:

It was a good day for the livestock complex as the contracts closed higher
and this morning's export report was at least strong for the hog complex. Yes,
cash cattle trade was lower this past week, but only by $2.00 to $3.00. Hog
prices closed higher on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog Report, up $2.21 with a
weighted average price of $81.47 on 4,390 head. May corn is up 15 1/4 cents per
bushel and May soybean meal is down $1.30. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is
up 47.29 points.
